MY REACTION TO THE LARAMIE PROJECT

The Laramie project was tragedy that would mostly be related to Romeo and Juliet. In Romeo and Juliet the main characters die to bring peace to those who were filled with hate. So Mathews would be compared to them in the fact that he died spreading love to and acceptance to millions and of course ending hatred. As Euro Maidan press said “ lies give birth to hatred”. To me wanting to accept yourself without accepting others is a more than being a selfish and usually if you are selfish you will lie to be on the top of the chain and thus why I say the birth of hate is from nothing rather than lies. Today gay rights activism is still a global issue. The United States is one of the birthplaces of LGBT activism and to be honest many changes have been brought to our society but we still have to climb more mountains to reach to the promised land which is full privilege for all. Lots of things have been done including providing education but still we have some signs of hate spread all over the places. A prove would be the existence of gay conversion therapists of course if we had therapists who would change a black kid to a white kid or the way around the whole world would go against us. The UN had planned to pass a law that would stop this but it is nothing more than a plan. It is just until we say enough and then things begin to change and change is a state of life and thus if you do not change from today to tomorrow then you are not living. And finally i want to finish up everything by bringing this quote that i got as i posted the movie on my facebook page “we live to die when we should be dying to live”. Of course Matthew went the hard way and served his life for the freedom of millions
